I've returned to working on a desert terrain set. After shifting last year to focus on substance application for props the terrain concept kind of got left in the dust. Thus I've returned to the first sand prototype I made and have added height form and wind control to the standard substance parameters. I've been able to get some good variation and I have high hopes for its application on terrain in the coming weeks.
Found some good photogrammetry references on megascans. Daniel Thiger's substance source signature shone some insight onto application of "shadows" and "vector warps" for height forms! Again another standard 100% procedural substance thanks for stopping by.
