Early in 2019 I did an art test for Grinding Gear games to recreate a ground texture from Oriath square using pbr and the substance suite.
I had a really good time trying out some new ideas I had for tool friendly pipelines. Including Substance Painter filters that use real time strokes linked with a designer generator. Fantasy art is always such a blast.
I think if I was going to tackle this again I'd love to try and give it a more marble like feeling. I took it more of a stone carving route that feels super sharp and damaged, but the reference has a really cool kind of sleek edging that could of been fun to incorporate more!
